The Jewish Graduate Student Initiative (JGSI) provides opportunities for Jewish graduate students of all backgrounds to discover the beauty and meaning of their heritage in an atmosphere of open inquiry and mutual respect. JGSI is a self-generating, non-profit vehicle whose mission is to enrich the day-to-day lives of Jewish graduate students, and to assist Jewish graduate student associations on campus. Some of the services JGSI provides include missions to Israel, bringing in speakers for association events, an association Sabbath dinner, and mentorship opportunities. JGSI also assists Jewish law and MBA students in Southern California to network and eventually become active leaders in their respective industries and in the Jewish community.
