Since REGIS HOUSE's inception (1984), the organization has served over 35,000 individuals, primarily children and adolescents. Several years ago services were expanded to the elderly and adults suffering from chronic mental illness. Father Perez-Lerena (and many volunteers) still meet at the agency weekly to help guide services toward the mission. Father Perez-Lerena, as Chairman of the Board, provides guidance to the agency's executive director and staff, which includes psychiatrists, licensed therapists, social workers, and administrative staff. His dream of "doing something" for the community's needs has grown into a professional organization serving over 100 children, adults, and families daily.

Regis House is a place where families and adults can come for issues that may seem hopeless . The center, located in the heart of Miami is as a place where lives are turned around. The combination of substance abuse, mental health, and recreation programs enriches the Father's vision of helping those who are in need and suffering.
