The primary aim of the supportive services available as part of the SSVF Program is to help Veteran families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis and/or homelessness.  Support services include case management, linkage to available resources including VA benefits, housing location, and other housing stabilization services.  In some cases, short-term financial assistance for rent, security, utilities, moving costs, transportation and other emergency needs may be provided as part of a plan to increase the participant’s housing stability.
